Did you know 1 tbsp of ground flax seed + 2.5 to 3 tbsp of water = 1 egg when baking?
The trick is to prepare this mixture first and let it rest for a couple of minutes (about 5 – 7). This is a great non-processed replacement when a recipe calls for eggs to act as a binding agent.
.
If the recipe calls for eggs for moisture, you can use a medium to large ripe banana or 1/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce.
Happy baking!
